The SCOTT Scale 980 brings the efficiency and climbing prowess of 29er wheels to fruition on a lightweight aluminum hardtail. It comes fully equipped with a RockShox fork with Remote Lockout technology to allow for multiple travel settings to adjust to riding conditions. Its tapered headtube results in increased front-end stiffness for more predictable handling characteristics. It features a 1 x 12 SRAM NX Eagle drivetrain, which is an excellent option for its shifting accuracy and wide-range gearing for all kinds of terrain. Powerful hydraulic brakes come in the form of Shimano MT201's, so you have the confidence of speed control at your fingertips. The Syncros handlebar, stem, and seatpost components offer reliability in a nice matte finish. And for confident traction on fire roads or singletrack alike, the Maxxis Rekon Race tires do the trick.
